Didn't ovulate this cycle......
I know that this can and does happen but I am down in the dumps about it. This was the first actual month that DH and I were seriously going to TTC.
Just looking for someone to commiserate -- anyone else not ovulate during a cycle? Did you ovulate the following month?

Didn't ovulate this cycle......
I just started temping so I am new at all of this, but how do you know you didn't ovulate?

Didn't ovulate this cycle......
I use the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor -- you urinate on the test sticks when the machine tells you to around the same time each morning and it gives you your read (low fertility, high fertility, peak). When it reaches peak, it shows an egg. I reached high fertility this cycle, but never peaked. I just got my period today, so no ovulation this cycle. I'm bummed!

How many cycles have you used it? It can take awhile for the machine to know your body.

Didn't ovulate this cycle......
I know AF came for you but b/c you didn't get a peak doesn't necessarily mean you didn't O. My BFP came from a cycle where I didn't get a peak reading. It may have just missed your surge. Just wanted to throw that out there!

Thank you! Even though AF came, this does make me feel better :) For this cycle, I think I am going to use an OPK as a backup method just to be sure!

The tests will only track your surge. It does not tell you if you ovulate. You have to temp to really know if you ovulated.

And it is normal to not ovulate here and there. I have been doing this a while and it seems that I don't ovulate every month even though I surge AND take meds. Blood work showed last year that I didn't actually ovulate 2x out of the 12 cycles. This year, it's only been 1x.
Temping and/or Blood work will help you find out if you re Oing or not. That's the only way

Did you get AF 9-14 days after your last "high" day? If so, I'd think you ovulated. If AF came like 20 days later, I'd be skeptical.
I very often don't ovulate, but when that happens, my cycles are 50+ days long and I have several "high" days, sometimes weeks apart (hormones go up, then down, then up, then down, etc... and either I'll O around CD 30 or 40 or not at all).

No, I got AF right up until high readings. Meaning on CD 27 I was showing a high fertility level (2 bars) and then on CD 28, got AF. I'm stumped.

If I wasn't using back up OPKs when using the monitor I would have never caught my surge. Monitor just didnt pick it up. Partly bc I surge at night a lot of the time. its a short surge that's usually negative by the morning.
