The guy in the bakery also said something about his wife and her being arabic. So, in his defense...I would have flipped out too. I said to dh, you think he would learn the world has video and camera. Dh's response was
"hes Carlos Danger, he aint got time for that"

Don't want to watch the video with my DC here, but honestly, if this guy just decided to comment on his own out of nowhere, he's looking to fight. So he got what he wanted. I wouldn't expect Weiner to ignore someone picking at him in public since what he did didn't really effect anyone directly (other than his own wife and maybe the women he has had contact with).

you know what. I don't fault him at all. It WAS cowardly of the guy to say something as he was walking out. His personal life is his personal life. so he took some pics of his manhood...so what. not the best thing to do when in a political position...but not the worst by far.
Also, it's alot of the rabbis and seemingly religious men who give dominatrixes and prostitues the bulkload of their work so, sometimes I wonder when a man like that is quick to point the finger, what demons he is hiding of his own. It's so easy to be self righteous and preach in a room full of religious people but who knows how he behaves when his peers aren't watching. i'm with wiener on this one...it's not his place to judge him.

i also don't like that tmz spun this as an anti-semitic thing as if he "hates" or "picks on" jews. he stood up for himself against a man that happened to be jewish in a jewish location. that's all it was.

Can you believe Anthony Weiner?
I think Anthony Weiner is a joke. I do not think it was right of the guy to egg him on and say something as he was leaving. With that said, I do feel it is his place to judge him. When you are a public figure, you are asking tibe judged. You are being voted into a position, so yes, I will judge you. Because my judgment will affect my daily life if you get voted in. If he did not want to be judged he should have a) not been a pig or b) been a little more discreet. Just my opinion. But I do feel, that man, as well as society, has EVERY God given right to judge Anthony Weiner.

they are not showing that part of the video here

All personal feelings aside from whether I think he should be running for office or not. I think Anthony weiner was right and I wouldnt have backed down either. Especially if he said something about his wife. Calling him a Jackass is nothing compared to what I would have said.

The man said he was a scumbag because he was "married to an Arab," nothing about his recent scandals. The context changes this completely.
I feel like the media is so eager to portray him doing something asshole-like again that they deliberately left out the part that provoked him and caused him to go back into the bakery.
People see what they want to see.

But I don't think he's a good candidate for mayor. I don't care about his personal life; I care that he has a problem with impulse control & question having a mayor who has the stupidity to send d!ck pictures out to another person on the internet.

ITA. I also didn't care about the Bill Clinton scandal. Sure hes a terrible husband, but as president, it had no effect on me.

I did not see that, and I never said the guywas right for being a douche. I just feel he does have a right to judge. I think the ignorant comment was completely wrong and inappropriate. They guy was wrong for starting an argument. But I do feel he has a right to judge Weiner (not about his wife)

I'm so confused by TMZ trying to make this an anti-semitic thing since Weiner is Jewish....
Either way. I don't hold it against him for getting upset at what the other asshole said. However, when you put yourself on the campaign trail you make yourself open to people heckling you and not liking you. I think in his position he needs to be able to let it go, ignore, and if he feels the need to respond he should say something to the reporters about his thoughts on the matter rather than engaging an obviously hostile jerk.

He's a liar. He initially blamed al qaida for the photos and scandal. That's not what a leader does.
