Using school's tote bag vs personal backpack
Dd starts preschool on Monday. Last week at orientation we got tote bags w the school's logo. They prefer we use that bag, but it's not required. So should I use that or the backpack I bought for dd? TIA

A tote-bag seems so impractical. I would use a backpack. Maybe try the tote for a few days to see?

Wow, do you all go to my kid's school in NJ? LOL They do this in PreK, but now it is also Kindergarten!!!! Irritating.

Re: Using school's tote bag vs personal backpack
My son's preschool also asks you to buy tote bags. But they are like 5 bucks a piece and roomy enough to hold what he needs. They keep one at school to store jackets, hats, mittens, and take one back and forth with projects, notices, etc. This is his third year at the school (he did a 2 and 3 year old program), and I've always found the bags to be durable. In his school, most people use the school logo bags. It always seemed easiest to me. But I don't think it's a big deal either way, unless the school mandates use of the bag!
