Re: Early Intervention question
My DS is 17 months and has EI for PT. My DD hasbeen very energetic, also a runner, & behavior is not the best at times & unfortunately alot. I have been talking to my pediatrican who totally believes it's behavior. She was like that at 2 and if her daycare had no doors .....forget it !!! DH and I think sometimes we should bring her for therapy bc she is so defiant at times and we are probably going to because we are frustrated too. At 2 though I feel it is total normal behavior. Some kids bite, hit, etc.....if he is having trouble expressing his words he could act out because he is frustrated but I do believe there does need to be a "delay". Maybe talk to your Pediatrician and see what they say but to me I feel that the daycare may be making a bigger deal. Also a good idea is to ask them to document date and time of issues and providd you with it because then you will know exactly what happened. Also they could document what activity it is during Maybe it is right before nap and he is tired or before lunch he is hungrt etc. :)
