Failed the 3 hour
Got the call this morning that 3 out of my 4 draws were elevated.
Waiting for them to call so I can set up an appt to get my meter and all the info I'll need.
I'm trying hard not to google. Anyone have any experiences they can share?

Failed the 3 hour
I just got diagnosed just over a week ago. I see the dietitian tomorrow and I'll also to learn how to use the meter. Not gonna lie, it's kinda rough b/c you have to really watch your carb and sugar intake but I'm getting used to it day by day. Stay away from white breads. If you're going to have bread, stick with whole wheat. I get whole wheat english muffins, flatbreads, and wraps. Eat protein with each meal - eggs, lean meat, peanut butter, cheese. Also just because it says sugar free or no sugar added doesn't mean that there's no sugar. Check the labels! The day I was diagnosed, I went to Shoprite and it took me nearly 2 hours to shop b/c I had to read every label. I guess eventually I'll get the hang of it!

Re: Failed the 3 hour
My first pregnancy I failed also. It was hard in the beginning but you get the hang of what you can eat and for me I just stuck with those foods. The dietitian really gave me a guideline and you see what works for you. It takes some tweaking but on the plus side it helped me keep my weight gain under 25 lbs! so that was good. Good luck to you. I am sure we can help you with any questions on here.
