Anyone have a corner kitchen sink? And/or a fridge next to the wall? (pics added)
We are starting to do research on our (much needed) kitchen renovation and the way I want the layout, it looks like I can only do a corner sink.
Also, right now the fridge is on the end of the counter not next to the wall but I want to switch it to where the stove is but I don't think I will be able to open the door all the way if I do that.
This project is already confusing! But so exciting! We bought our house (a basic 3 bedroom ranch) in 2005 and have HATED the kitchen ever since.
My grandfather passed away 2 years ago and since then I channel him and his amazing cooking while I cook and he left me a decent amount of money and I know that he would love me to use it on the kitchen remodeling project I have wanted for so long.
Anyone with tips/advice/pictures... it would be very appreciated.
ETA: This is a picture of the kitchen taken when the inspector walked through. Only the appliances have been changed. We have a larger side by side door fridge, a new stove and a dishwasher. What can I do to make this more appealing layout wise? I was thinking of moving the fridge to where the stove is now but then where to put the stove???
In the lower right hand corner, you can see where we have our microwave on a butcher block style cart.
The new fridge with the hallway to the bedrooms/bathroom right next to it.
Our basic ranch house... if anyone wants to share pictures from their house that looks similar, please do.

We have a corner sink, and I like it. As far as the fridge next to the wall, I would think you would have to have a decent sized spacer to accomodate for the fridge opening (maybe Im wrong???). We have a pantry, and then our fridge.

So like a tall cabinet type thing next to the wall and then the fridge?

I would put the sink under the window, then the dishwasher to the right. Move the stove where the sink is and leave the refrigerator where it is. My fridge is next to a wall but the wall only comes out as far as the fridge box (not where the doors are) so the doors have room to open.
Of course I don't know how big your kitchen is so you need to check to make sure none of the doors of the appliances impede each other when open, and when you're using the sink. We have a corner sink as there was no other option and I don't really like it.
ETA: as for the stove, I would center it on the countertop where the sink is, not necessarily place it exactly where the sink is, KWIM?

This is what I would do, if it's at all possible. We had a corner sink in our old place and it was a pain. There was also a lot of wasted space in the corner behind it. Luckily, we had a lot of counter space so it didn't affect us, but I think of a kitchen like my parents have and every bit of counter space is clutch!

I agree with this. I wouldn't do a corner sink if you can avoid it, and you definitely have the space. I would also add a pantry cabinet where the stove is currently.

This, except that I would put the stove as close to the refrigerator as possible so that you are have as much continuous countertop as possible (if the stove is in the middle, you'll end up with 2 short areas of counterspace instead of one larger area)

The only reason I wouldn't put the stove right next to the fridge is because all the pot handles on that side would have to face in. I was also told that "hot" appliances should not be near "cold". Our stove was originally right next to a wall and it was such a PITA - could not wait to move it so we had space on each side. Do what works for you though.

You definitely want to incorporate "landing space" next to the fridge and n each side of the stove.

When you say corner sink, do you want a regular sink catty cornered or do you want a double sink in an V shape with the faucet in the center?
We have the latter and I curse it EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Re: Anyone have a corner kitchen sink? And/or a fridge next to the wall? (pics added)
I would move the fridge to where the existing stove is so it is against a wall. I dont care for the look of an end refrigerator. I'd move the stove down one cabinet/pantry away from where the fridge is now so when you walk in the kitchen there is an end and it looks finished. I would also move the sink under the window and do the dishwasher to the right of it.
If you want to leave the fridge at the end then I would do a cabinet end piece to finish it off. Example

Re: Anyone have a corner kitchen sink? And/or a fridge next to the wall? (pics added)
We had a similar layout.
This was the previous owner's MLS picture:
entrance way next to the fridge and there was a wall on the right where the stove was.
We moved the sink under the window (I think I read that corner sins waste space.) and DW as well
We took down the wall on the right and made peninsula.
this is what we did (minus the fridge - we had trouble finding one we wanted for the measurement)
