crashing... carters return policy? (and a couple other questions)

hi all - i wanted to get a gift for someone but i was wondering what carter's return policy was from the website? i looked there but i didn't see any specific timeframe.

oh - also, are babies still wearing onsies at 9 mo?

eta: is it okay to get a long sleeves pants outfit for june (when the baby will be the number of months they have the size for) or would that be too warm?

and if i wanted to get a bunch of stuff with a variety of sizes, should i err on the side of getting more 3 mo stuff than nb? how long are babies generally in nb size?

TIA!

Don't get a lot of newborn, they go through it very quickly. DS wore that size for only three weeks. A range of sizes is great and definitely appreciated! I would get clothes ranging up to one year, they go through stuff so quickly and you end up getting so much newborn and 3 mth stuff and could really use the bigger sizes. I wouldn't get a long sleeve outfit for June, too warm. At 9 mths DS was very active, walking at 10 so he didn't wear onesie outfits except to bed we were in pants and shirts at that point.

Not sure of the online return policy but the in store is great never had issues.

Not sure of the return policy but I would get more 3 month or even 6 month sizes. We got tons of gifts that were 3 months so we had more than enough clothes. I appreciated the bigger sizes, too.

I wouldn't get long sleeves for June. But, babies are usually one size ahead of their age, at least in the beginning. So at 3 months, DS was starting to wear 6 month sizes.

HTH.

I believe with tags on and receipt (gift receipt in your case) they have forever returns. i have a friend that buys her son 2 sizes in shorts for the summer in case he grows out of the first size and then returns them at the end if he doesn't wear them - i believe she gets the price she paid for them or she wouldn't continue this crazy saga. HTH!

My experience has been great - as long as the tag is attached with barcode visible they will take anything back - however without receipt it will be at the current price... no matter how old.

Average babies aren't in nb long. Get gift receipts and she can return in store if needed. I didn't use pants in the summer even though we had CAC. I still put my girls in onesie shirts at 12 mo but not the undershirt kind.

Re: crashing... carters return policy? (and a couple other questions)

dd is almost a year old and she is still wearing onesies. I prefer them, bc they stay tucked into whatever she is wearing.

if you include the receipt, carter's is great about taking anything back at any time. without a receipt, they will still take it back, but they will only get the lowest sale price. I just returned something I got at my shower a year ago; they took it, but I got very little for it.

for dd, and I know it was the same for my niece as well, she's always been one size ahead, basically. like she turned 6 months in may, but was in 9 months size clothing for spring. then for the summer, she was in 12 month size. dd will be 1 year on November 5. she is still wearing 12 months but the majority of things I got her for winter are in 18 month size.
me personally, I got the most in 6 month size and 12 month size, as gifts. like, an obscene amount. I got very little 9 month size for some reason. I think it's nice to get items for down the line... so many people give nb, 3m, 6m as gifts... and then you wind up having to buy so much yourself. having been there now, when I buy gifts from now on, I will probably buy bigger sizes.
