Eczema on baby's face - help!
My baby is 5 weeks old and has had a rash on her face that has been getting worse. It has spread a little to her neck and chest and small patches are on her arms and legs. I just got back from the pediatrician and she confirmed it's eczema!
She recommended using Cetaphil to clean the baby and Aveeno Eczema therapy cream to help. She also prescribed a mild steroid, that I am reluctant to use (but am also desperate to help my baby girl!).
Any tips or advice from anyone who has experienced something similar?

my son got diagnosed w eczema at 8 weeks old.
i began bathing him with aquaphor wash and moisturizing with aquaphor ointment everyday.
use the steroid cream when its needed. it will help clear up most outbreaks in a day and provide relief to your baby.
good luck! it stinks but once you get a routine your LO's skin should heal and you will know how to treat outbreaks.

Sounds almost like cradle cap to me (can and does spread down to neck , chest, arms etc.)-- head and shoulders works wonders on this.
If it really is eczema, don't bathe her too often- cover her in coconut or olive oil after baths, and on a regular basis.

DS has eczema and our ped just has us using cortisone cream or a prescription strength cortisone cream when it's really bad.

DD has eczema and i use baby aquaphor body wash to bathe her and I use the ointment daily to help clear up the skin rashes
