First "cycle" after m/c or ectopic?
Just wanted to throw this out there and get some idea of whether it's somewhat normal. I bled for weeks and stopped bleeding on 9/9. My beta was negative as of blood draw on 9/11. My cyles are typically less than 25 days, usually about 22. Typically ovulate on day 15 (I have a short LP).
Anyway.... I had an abundance of EWCM from about 9/18 to 9/23. Then it stopped, so i figured I had ovulated. Then I started up with the EWCM again 2 days ago, a significant amount of it.
And now I'm terribly confused. I was expecting I'd get AF any day now but instead i'm getting EWCM.
Thoughts? I know after a mc things can be different, but I wasn't expecting this.
(not possible that i'm pg, btw)
thanks

after a MC/Ectopic your cycle is totally thrown off - most likely you won't ovulate until AFTER you officially get AF. I've heard of girls on here waiting weeks and weeks and weeks for AF to show. If you only stopped bleeding on 9/9, I would NOT expect to see AF show for at the very least another week or so.

I don't blame you!!!! I was the same way with both of my losses. The first one, which oddly enough was further along (almost 7 weeks) I got AF like clockwork after 31 days, and my second, which was more of a chem at 5 w, took 36 days before I got AF. And here I am, lord knows what's going on with my cycle this month.

My MC was on 8/22. My gyn said it could take up to 6-8 weeks for things to level out, though, and that it was possible I wouldn't get my period for that long. I started spotting on 9/14 and had my period on 9/15, and it was an awful one but the waiting really did suck :(

Oh, and his exact wording was--the first time around, it's pretty much a crapshoot. Basically meaning, forget your normal because it's entirely possible it will be completely different from whatever normal is for you.

Exactly. Even after that first one it can get screwy...
