Catscan w contrast to r/o PE
Ladies please reassure me or share your stories. I have a cat scan w contrast of my lungs yesterday, and I haven't been able to sleep. I am 12 weeks and am so scared I have hurt my baby, have you ever had one and delivered a baby after it? Is the baby healthy?
I do not have a PE but do have other issues going on and I didn't want this to stress me out even more.
Thank you!

Crashing, just wanted to say when I was 30ish weeks pregnant I had a cats can done of my head due to a fall. DS is totally fine. The doctors at the hospital and my OB actually said cat scans are fine for pregnant woman, and to make sure if someone offers an MRI to say NO, as those can be harmful. Good luck to you and don't get too stressed .

having a CT while pregnant is ok for PE. They shield your belly and only concentrate the radiation in the chest area. I know its scary to go thru. You can actually have xrays also just as long as its not near or around the belly area and you are sheilded with the lead apron. I work in Radiology

I had an xray at 5w3d to rule out PE. They assured me that it was perfectly fine since it was only of my lungs and they put no less than 5 lead aprons over my belly. I'm 17w4d and so far so good!
