Anyone ever have a contrast CT scan done? Update in first post
I have to drink the liquid in a little bit and am wondering if it's nasty... 
I've been dreading this alllllllllllllll day! 
Update:
I had the test done this afternoon, but they didn't inject me with the stuff like they were supposed to .
I had a bit of a reaction to the drink this afternoon - my throat started to feel tight about a half hour after I finished the drink. I told the tech when I went in and he conferred with the doctor who said not to risk the chance that I might have a severe reaction to the injection.
My throat still fees tight, but not to the point where I am worried - I'm just coughing a lot.

I always ahve my contrastinjected into my via iv.Howerver, a friend told me that hers wasn't so bad because they flavored it.

I did when I had my kidney infection and needed a bunch of tests done. IMO, it was nasty. Tasted like chalk. What helped was holding my nose when I took a gulp. That made it much easier. Good Luck!

Ugh - they gave me this little cup of pee-colored liquid - I have to mix it with 3 cups of water and drink half tonight and half tomorrow a few hours before and then they have to inject me too!

I cannot tell a lie, it is the nasty sh!t ever. Don't get the flavor, the flavor makes it even worse. Stick with the white chalky crap.

OMG - I have never tasted anything like that in my entire life!
I have to drink the rest tomorrow while I'm at work. How the hellll am I going to hide my "yucky face" from the kids????

The IV injection I had wasn't bad at all.

HA I've had 3 abd/pelvic CT's and 2 out of the 3 I had to have them dope me up with demerol and find another way to get it in me.. and it wasn't oraly
I couldn't choke that stuff down if you paid me!!
Good luck tomorrow Try making it cold. Although you can't chase it with water- it's already diluted..

Yes I had to once and god I thought I was going to be sick. It was so nasty, the girl told me to drink it out of a straw and it would go down easier. After trying that and gagging I felt like telling her to go drink it from a straw  But I survived as so will you, Good Luck

Whenever I have had scans done at this place, it has always taken at least 2 days. I have an appt. next Wednesday
I hate waiting!
