Re: organic and natural moms
We've also leaned toward organic but now we are doing mostly paleo with some gluten-free exceptions for the kids. We avoid carrageenan.

earths best, which is mostly organic, has it in their cereal bars. Which is why I was asking.

How do you guys like paleo? See any difference? I try to avoid gluten as much as possible, and I use very little dairy in my cooking.

Re: organic and natural moms
I avoid it as much as I can. I also make sure to read labels closely of organic foods bc they can still contain less desirable ingredients. I believe carrangeenan comes from seaweed in some form, so that is why it can be in organic labeled foods. DH and I always discuss how just bc something is is labeled organic does NOT mean it is healthy or good for you.
ETA: It is also found in some of the organic yogurt pouches or tubes I think.

Re: organic and natural moms
Are there any prepackaged foods/snacks for toddlers that are good? So far I only like:
happy baby puffs cascadian farms purely o's cereal ella's kitchen nibbly fingers earth's best crunchin' crackers
I try to give all whole foods- like fresh veggies and fresh fruit and dairy... and I try to bake all of my own things like soup, muffins with whole wheat flour and maple syrup, etc... but sometimes i need prepackaged things and I just can't find foods good for a 14 month old.
Please share your favorites!!

Thanks! I wasn't sure if it was "hidden" in the ingredients.
We buy Happy Tot super toddler bars. They're like granola bars & ds loves them. I don't see carrageenan listed as an ingredient.

Try to avoid it as much as possible, but it is in our coconut milk. Wish I could find coconut milk without it, but I haven't yet.
