Recommend your Double Stroller

We are looking to register this weekend or next. Do we go Chicco or baby jogger? In my mind I want front to back since side by side seems harder to get through doors, no? Does BRU have a good selection or should I register at BBB? I wanted something convenient so I thought BRU but if BBB is better I can go there. Thanks!!

BBB has more options I think, plus you can usually use the 20% off coupons on almost all the brands I believe. I have two side by sides, a bumble ride -which is VERY heavy, big pain the butt to put away because all the settings have to be a certain way. For quick trips to the store it's horrible, It's awesome for things like the zoo and strolling the neighborhood. I also have a combi which is a cheapy but takes literally 3 seconds to fold and is super light weight. (even lighter than a double umbrella stroller with more features and a bigger sun canopy). I had an umbrella stroller for quick trips, but the combi is much better. I abuse it like crazy. It do not handle nearly as well as the bumble ride but if I had to choose between the two strollers I would have to choose the combi because it is way more functional for everyday quick trips. It's not a front to back but it is only as wide as a wheel chair so if a wheel chair can do it, so can I. Most places are required by law to be handicap accessible.

Also, I have to say I truly regret not getting more things second hand. I have been buying and selling lots of stuff on craigslist now and it is just awesome. Most stuff in the beginning you only use for such a short while and everything costs so much. Definitely check craigslist for things like bounceroos and exersaucers, sand boxes, play houses. All those big fisher price things, you can save big bucks checking craigslist first.

Awesome! Thanks. I am getting a lot of hand me downs from clothes to play mats, pack n plays and even a crib! I am going to BBB tomorrow so I will check those out for sure! Thanks again!

I have 2 side by sides!! I love them. I had the double snap and go front/back (I still have mine if you are interested) the side by sides are great for twins. You just fit everywhere, but the kids dont fight over where to sit. I LOVE my bumble ride indie twin. maneuvers with a flick of your wrist.I have not found a door we dont fit through. i have that and a double umbrella

side by side.. i have combi. i like it but at this age 3--- its very heavy to push them around in now

I'd suggesting registering for this at BBB rather than BRU only because I had a heck of a time trying to return stuff, bought from my registry, to BRU and in several cases just had to keep the item. We kept most of the "bigger" items to our BBB registry and left smaller items to the BRU registry.

We ended up getting the city select (front to back rather than the side by side). I know a TON of twin moms say that they don't have any issues with their side by sides, but even with the front to back, i find it a pain in the butt to get through certain doors (maybe it is just the smaller store fronts or places by me, but I can say I'd never fit a side by side through the doors of my local coffee shop, or navigating open cellars on the side walk etc).

The stroller itself is awesome, tons of combinations for the seats (like the two kids facing each other) and very easy to maneuver and whatnots. It is nice to have a ton of storage, but the price point makes me still grimace (though it was generously gifted to us) and I think you could definitely go with any number of strollers and be happy!

I have a Britax B-agile Double and i LOVE it! It fits thru every door so far.

I also have the double snap and go and i hate front to back, its sooo long and hard to turn.

i have the city select and city mini double. The Select was great for when they were smaller and for the car seats, etc. But now that my girls are almost 2 I love the mini for most outings.

ETA: the mini double fits through almost every door. I have heard some smaller apartment doors it does not fit but standard doorways it does.

I have a double mountian buggy that I LOVE. I use it everywhere, it goes over ALL terrain very easily. However, it is big and bulky and takes up a lot of room in the back of my car. So I also have a Kinderwagon, which absolutely rocks for store trips, anyplace there are isles or where a double would be hard to navigate in. and I Love it!

while in the infant car seats we have been using the baby trend double snap n go. it was been the perfect thing! but now as they are getting longer and heavier its harder to turn corners. i also have the city mini double that i will start using when we switch to convertible car seats
