Officially switching RE's......
I'm sad. I really like Dr. Trivax and for the most part everything he's done for me, my second opinion agreed with. However, my gut tells me that Dr. Stangel is the way to go so I am. I just got off the phone w him a little while ago. He called me back to answer a few more questions I had. I feel like ill get more personal attention with him that Trivax can't provide...So I'm starting the switching process:
Will be monitored in garden city but results will be looked at by stangel who is based in white plains. He will oversee my day to day protocol.
Manhattan for retrieval transfer and weekend monitoring- not a biggie- my SO has an apt in city not too far from office. I'll cab it from apt to office- parking issue solved..
Dr. stangel wants me to go back to white plains one more time for an ultrasound etc before I start my next cycle.
I'm excited to begin again but sad. Do I call to say I'm switching? What's the protocol? Don't wanna burn any bridges bc you never know.

Officially switching RE's......
When I canceled my upcoming appt with the RE when I knew I was switching I was asked why. I told the lady I was taking a break. She just didn't know it was a break from THEM and not ttc. Lol.
But if I were you, maybe id call the dr and have a quick goodbye break up chat? Thanks for all your care, but I'm moving on type thing?

Officially switching RE's......
Good luck to you! Hoping this new doctor brings you your little bundle of joy.
When I left RSONY I called and asked them to have my records sent to my new RE and that was it. It takes about 2 weeks to have that information transferred.
If you don't have to get anything sent to the new Dr I would just call and say you are taking a break if you are uncomfortable telling the RE you are switching.

Re: Officially switching RE's......
When I left RS, I got no call and I was gone for three cycles. I never called either but when I came back for a consult, they asked why I was gone and I told them I took a break. They then said it's very common to leave, come back, leave again lol I didn't know that. Again, not much individualized care there but they have very large patient volume. Now my new RE is very small, and I have been gone this whole cycle and no call to check up or anything. More surprised by that one but oh well! I was referred to Dr. Mukjaharee(sp?) at RMA but I am not sure if they accept my insurance over there. Don't feel bad. You are spending big $ and time is important. These Drs understand and have patients leave all the time. It's a good thing that you are being proactive and trying a new plan! You are doing the best for you. Dr. T is an awesome Dr but maybe you did all you could with him now it's time to get a fresh set of eyes on the situation. I'm excited for you! Please keep us updated!
