Higdon Plan
I am going to start the higdon plan today. For those that use it did you buy the additional program or used what's free on the website? What do you do for stretch and strength days? I was thinking of yoga and some machines or planks and push ups? Are machines really necessary to do? Not a big fan of them.

Higdon Plan
Yes I followed the website version. Believe me it's enough. No need to pay. It's really prepared me and I found it to be a great program. It does work.
As far as strength days I go to the gym and use the machines or do floor exercises. Anything you can do is fine. No need to use the machines if you don't want to.

Re: Higdon Plan
I agree, don't pay...I love his online plans!
I take classes at my gym for strength training...light weights, high reps. Squats and lunges are great to strengthen for running. HTH!

Re: Higdon Plan
Thanks! I did yoga last night with a ton of planks. Painful lol tonight I start the night runs. I am going to stay on a main road for now until I get the night gear.
