you end up getting pregnant again. Has this happened to you? I am not saying this is happening to me.

I just am really torn with the idea of giving his stuff away. I mean what IFI do decide to have another soon, and the child also turns out to be a boy?!

Usuall, the second shower isn't as large as the first in my opinion. I'd have to buy all the stuff, the clothes, swing, pack n play, toys.. all over again!

Tell me it isn't that bad... or really just be honest.. lol

To give away or hold on for another year?

If you aren't sure I wouldn't give anything away just yet.

Because it sounds like it's a possibility for you, if you have the storage space for it, I would hold onto it for another year. I see no harm in that Chat Icon

It sounds like the real question you're asking isn't about clothesChat Icon

Keep it all and decide later if you are unsure that you are done.

i would keep it until you know you are done
sounds like you are uncertain - to re-buy everything would be a pain imo

That is what my basement is for - storing all the baby and toddler stuff my nearly 3 YO has out grown. We are expecting #2 in the spring, so it's all coming out again.

I told DH I can't wait to see the basement again in 2 years when all the baby stuff is gone.

I say get rid of most of it and keep anything gender neutral or that will work in any season.

Otherwise you'd have to have the same gender And be due around the same time for most of the clothes to be right anyway.

I have a DD and I'm having a DS in March. I'm getting rid of the majority of DDs clothing bc *if* we do have a 3rd (which idk if we will), who knows if it will be a girl born in the summer.

We have a small house, the kids will be sharing a room w/ 1 closet, and we need all the storage we can get. Plus I know I'll want to buy new clothes anyway.

Baby gear is a different story, I haven't gotten rid of any gear.

Keep everything unless you are completely 100% sure you're done.

It kills me giving away clothes. We are pretty much done but what if? We have 2 boys so I love seeing ds#2 wear some of the ones that i loved on DS#1. What ive been doing is only saving the few pieces from have of each size that I really love. Some i feel really attached to just because they go with a memory. Its made it easier bc some other clothes im honesly sick of seeing again lol

I would definitely hold on to all the gear (pack and play, high chair, exersaucer, etc) clothing you could keep your favorite pieces to always have, but like someone previously said if the baby isn't the same sex as your first you will have no use for them.

If you have the room and your not sure if your done, I would keep it all. you never know and that stuff if expensive!!
When I was pregnant with my last and knew that he was boy I gave away all my girl clothes. Up until then, they stayed packed away just in case.
Since we are done!! After my DS grows out of clothes I am donating them out. Along with giving away all of his baby gear etc.

If I am done or not, I usually give away to those in need. I only keep my favorite items. Then I would buy for the new baby.
