How do you decorate for the holidays?

Do you go all out? DH just got our tree this morning so we will decorate later. Outside we have inflatable Mickey Santa, presents and tree. As well as white lights. Inside beside the tree, we have some Christmas figurines and that's about it. How do you decorate?

Bare minimum. More decorations = more to put away.

Sometimes we'll get a wreath for the door. This year we may not even put up the tree. I just don't have the patience this year lol.

I love Christmas decorations. We live in a townhouse so the outside is just some figures and lights on the bushes. Inside I have garland all over lol....on the stairs, in the kitchen, on the mantel. We have a few wreathes scattered around the house. The tree. A small tree in DD's room. Table centerpieces, a large nativity that was my grandpas and a few figures around the end tables and hutch. We are not putting anything on the floor (have some pointsetta pots and santas) because we have a new pup and it would get destroyed lol.

Outside we go all out, inside now that we have a crazy toddler we just do the tree, some little people Xmas sets (our nativity is little people too) a few stuffed things, a wreath and our advent calendar which is also little people. Basically nothing that can be broken lol

Outside we do a wreath, and white lights around our doorway, roof, and shrubs in the front.

Inside we get a real tree (in the dining room), and we have a lot of decorations/Chriatmas themed mugs/plates in display on my hutch in my dining room. We put 2 small fake trees out in my living room, and hang stockings and garland (the kind that looks real) on my banister. We also display a small manger scene.

This is the only holiday I really go all out on inside my house. We host Christmas Eve, so it's definitely worth it!

I go all out.

In the den we have the huge awesome tree but I put up a second tree in the formal living room too, a 6ft. I decorate everything..........den, kitchen, living room, dining room, and guest bathroom. I take out my Xmas china and serving pieces too. Outside we do lights. I loooooove Xmas. I'm very particular about my tree and my decorations. I like things perfect.

The kids and I put up gel clings on the front storm door. We have a Happy Hanukkah garland that we put over the mantel. We put some menorahs on the dining room table. We light the menorah at night. Say prayers (the two/three over the lights and then I have a pre-written topic for the night freedom,family, study of torah,hope, charity,peace, brotherhood, faith) that I read two paragraphs about. Then the kids get a present.

I prefer most decorations at eye level, so I don't really hang much, but I do decorate the light fixture in our dining room with a berry garland and glittery ornaments. Everything else is candles and figures/figurines, along with some garland and tinsel.

ETA: We do have some outdoor decorations, including an inflatable Santa, and we are putting up lights for the first time ever this year.

Inside, we have a tree, some decorations in the dining room/foyer/living room....and we usually put some clings on the windows. They always fall off though, so I might find a different purpose for them this year. We also have a large nativity on the dining room table and some other religious figurines; acknowledging the actual meaning of Christmas is important to us, and we do express that in the decorations.

Outside, we have a nativity, Santa/reindeer, choir folk, etc.

We are more minimalist - but we live in an apt.

We have a newborn and are moving in January - so this year we are just doing a smaller tree. Next year we will be in a house so I will do much more.

We have all our front windows decorated with white lights and stick on snowflakes that we put up yesterday. Today we cut down our tree and it's now up with lights and ornaments. Then we have random things decorated around the house... Like the stair railing and stockings hung from it... Some knick knacks on our coffee table etc.

We go all out inside--this is the first year we are not in our coop and can put lights on our house so we are SO excited for that

We put up a fake tree, decorate our bay window with lights and setup our nativity set, change the candles in the dining room candlesticks to red and 2 santa figurines that we put in the kitchen. No outside decorations.

We go all out for the outside and the inside I have a ton of decorations but I try to keep them simple

I live in a co-op so we do not deorate the outside. Inside we really only put up our tree and stockings.

Outside we are minimal/ classic white lights and swags on the windows. Inside the banisters are garlanded with big bows and lights, the living room has a few swags and a big tree. Dining room has a 7 foot pencil tree with big ornament garlands on the window treatments and the light fixture gets decorated with garland/flowers and picks. Our office is kind of formal painted a dark peacock blue so there is a peacock themed tree in there too. Kitchen and guest bath gets decorated, we go hard !

We live in a co-op so we don't have any decorations outside. We do go pretty all out inside though.

Foyer: 2 tables decorated with ornaments, knick knacks, light up penguin, light up snowman etc.

Kitchen: Holiday themed towels, oven mitts and wine glasses.

Bathroom: Holiday shower curtain, towels, soap dispenser.

Living room: Mistletoe in doorway, Christmas tree, lighted garland over the entertainment set, Elf plaque and Grinch plaque plus knick knacks and nativity set on the shelves of the entertainment set, small Christmas village and train on side table.

We also have Christmas-y scented candles in the living room and bathroom!

I love Christmas! LOL

Nothing too extravagant. We have our regular tree, and a mini tree inside, along with our stockings. Our banisters have garland. Outsides we put up a couple string of lights.
