Activity to do in NYC?
Does anyone have any ideas of something affordable and kid-friendly to do in the city this weekend along with seeing the tree... we are going to have children ranging from 8-months to 9th grade- with 3,5,10 & 12 year old in between!
Would love to have things walking distances from the LIRR so we don't have to deal with taxis or a stroller on the subway...

Activity to do in NYC?
How about going to Macys and seeing Santa?
Edit to add the kids can bring letters to Santa and they can "mail" them right there.
Also I don't know how affordable it is but Serendipity is usually a huge hit with little ones...

There's also a puppet show at macys. I've never been though so I can't say if it's good or not.

Ice skating? Pretty sure it is free at Bryant Park.
