Condition first then shampoo

Anyone do this? I just started a week ago and I feel like my hair is so much softer. I put in conditioner, rinse well, then shampoo and then a drop of conditioner again. I don't wash my hair everyday and I just noticed a big difference.

Anyone else?

I used to do this because my hair is so fine that the conditioner would weigh it down too much.
But my hair is so dry and damaged lately that the second the shampoo hits it, it dries it out and it feels like plastic and I need a ton more conditioner.
But when my hair is healthy it works great because I have such fine flat hair.
