Nursery Lighting
Hi - We have a smallish room that we are going to use for our nursery and it currently has no lighting. We have an electrician friend who has offered to either install high-hats or a central light fixture - both can be put on a dimmer switch. I'm nervous to put in a ceiling fan or a handing light fixture because the ceilings aren't super high and I'm worried it'll feel like it's hanging right over our heads...
The room is about 10.5 x 10.5. Any thoughts? I've read that recessed lighting isn't great for a nursery because it's hard on the baby's eyes, but maybe we are fixing that with a dimmer?

Nursery Lighting
We redid the electrical work in our house before dd was born. We have 4 high hats in her room on a dimmer plus a ceiling fan that has a central light. We always have the ceiling fan on at night so the air circulates in her room.
A must for a nursery is a small lamp and obviously a nightlight.

The room has a ceiling fan lamp and we are getting a lamp for the dresser b/c in the middle of the night, I don't want to turn on the bright ceiling light.

Re: Nursery Lighting
Originally we just had a lamp, but it was too dim. So we had a ceiling fan installed with a light switch on a dimmer and love it much better.
