Infant 3rd nap-When do you drop this?

My DD is about to be 5 months old. Currently her schedule is as follows :

She eats at 6am, 10am, 2pm, and 6pm. (The schedule varies a bit depending on the day). After each feeding she is up for about 1/12-2hours playing and then goes down for a nap. At which point does the 3rd nap stop? How do I know when its time to phase this out?

Infant 3rd nap-When do you drop this?

I can honestly not even tell you when it dropped. I just let my DS nap when he was tired so he just did it himself and I don't even remember it happening.

Infant 3rd nap-When do you drop this?

We aren't on a strict schedule (like that Alli?!? Hehe). Dd is 6 1/2 months. She takes 4 bottles throughout the day and times are roundabout. She normally takes 2 long naps a day, morning and afternoon. I just follow her lead.

I think DD was around 7 months. Then at 10 months she was already fighting the second and went down to one. She did three 1 hours naps for so long and now at 20 months she does one 3 hour nap so it all evened out. I followed her lead and dropped naps (always along with a feeding) when she started fighting each.

Thats about what she's doing although her naps sometimes are an hour and 1/2. Somebody told me that the 3rd nap stopped for her DD by 3 months so I started thinking is there something I am doing wrong lol.

At about 6.5 to 7 months the naps should get shorter and fewer. Eventually you will have one set nap. Which you need to schedule and teach the child, that'll depend on you and your child's schedule. If your child is happy napping and sleeping through the night there's no reason to change things yet, IMO.
