Recommend a summer camp in Huntington
Can anyone recommend one that is affordable and has bus service?

I have always heard the camps at the Huntington YMCA are great and have bussing.

YMCA not sure about busing though. I know plenty of people who went there and now send their kids

We have done:
Camp Soundview- Town Huntington-Crab Meadow
Huntington YMCA
Camps R Us Northport
Camp Alvernia
Soundview- inexpensive, 9-2 pm Crab Meadow. Camp cancelled if it rains. Great camp, but not for the working parent.
YMCA- was ok, wasn't thrilled with it.
Camps R US - was also ok. Not enough outdoor space/activities.
Camp Alvernia- Awesome! Swimming, boating, playing in the dirt. Very old-school, no technology- perfect!
They do have buses. It is free if you drop/off and pick up your kids at a few central locations where the bus meets them.
If you want door to door transportation, it's an added fee.
