Saw this from The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters when I googled:
Possible Questions to Ask When Checking a Potential Pet Sitter’s References
• How long have you known (insert sitter’s name)?
• What is your relationship with (insert sitter’s name)?
• How long has (insert name of sitter) been caring for
your pet? In what capacity?
• Why do you think he/she is a good pet sitter?
• Did your pets respond well to (insert name)?
• Did he/she make your pets feel loved and secure?
• What was the condition of your home when you
returned?
• Does your pet need medications? If yes, was he/she
good at/comfortable with administering any needed pet
medications?
• How did he/she handle any pet emergencies that
arose?
• Is there anything else you would like to share?
