Post workout snacks
What are some good snacks to eat after exercising? I just went back to the gym and plan on going in the evenings at 730 so I will have already eaten dinner but I know I'll be hungry when I get home!

Re: Post workout snacks
Make sure you get a carb in there too. It's best to prioritize your carbohydrates before and after training. Afterwards your body needs the protein and carbs to rebuild!

Re: Post workout snacks
I used to do an apple and a handful of almonds - good source of both carbs and protein. Then I did chocolate milk but that has a lot of extra sugar in it. Now I do Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein shake.
It's important to have that within 15-20 minutes after you workout, so take it to the gym with you too.

Re: Post workout snacks
Lately I'm addicted to a hot sweet potato with Cellucor cinnamon whey "frosting" (just add a lil water to the scoop of whey) on top of it! SOOOOO yummy! You can find that at www.netrition.com
