Study: meat and dairy alters gut bacteria

Here's an article on a recent study that looked at the impact of a diet high in meat and dairy on gut bacteria. some scientists and experts believe that gut bacteria have an impact on immunity, weight and behavior. I wonder if the study outcomes would be different if meat and dairy from more Organic/grass fed sources were used. Nonetheless, I think we can agree that too much of anything is probably not good.

that is because most of the meat and dairy industry is fed GMO corn, and I truly believe this is the reason why americans are sick.

I agree 100%

IMO this is why people are sick - why kids have so many more allergies- we messed with nature

Yup...totally agree. And I'm sure it's the reason for a lot of other issues, too.

It makes sense. I don't do any meat and go light on the dairy ( and only grass fed , organic when I do ) I think my health has definitely improved as a result.

I just went on a 21 day detox where no meat or dairy were allowed...I lost 9lbs and all my stomach issues were gone! It was plenty of food, just some grains (not wheat) and mostly fruits and veggies. No doubt in my mind !!

I too do not eat a lot of meat & have cut dairy dramatically & I've noticed a huge difference, & boy do I suffer when I eat too much.

I'm about to do this, I've been having many stomach issues lately and I'm sure it's too much meat in my diet. What did you eat for dinner while detoxing? And when you say "no wheat" what exactly do you mean? No whole wheat bread and stuff like that? Gluten free? Thanks!!
