Old Sears Hardware location in Patchogue
There's a public records sign up on Waverly Ave and the building is being renovated. Does anyone know what is going there?

Me too!! But I posted on here asking about Aldi awhile ago and apparently they have lots of great specialty items and are good for stocking up on pantry goods! I'll gladly take Aldi over another pharmacy or a Best Yet/ Meat Farms...something different.

They just opened an aldi near me and it really is not very good

OMG I hope and pray this is true!!!!! I heard Michaels is closing and they were going to put a Walmart in that space where King Kullen and Michaels are. I hate Walmart and would MUCH rather Whole Foods!!

I heard Sears is becoming Aldis and King Kullen is becoming Best Yet. I heard nothing about Michaels moving.

Ok...so I was wrong....Michaels is staying at least another 5 years.....King kullen is becoming dicks sporting goods....not sure about where sears is..but it's going to be some kind of food market. ...not sure which one.

Well, Dicks is better than some of the other options...but not as good as Whole Foods! Lol. Glad to hear Michael's is staying. Hope it's something decent in Sears!

My mom lives closer and called me a few days ago and said Michaels closed. But, she could very well be wrong. Rumor is that the Walmart is a Walmart food store, not a full Walmart. Who really knows. If they out a Walmart on Hospital road, I can't see another Walmart being so close. And, the old Bellport Outlets on the South side where Nike was is going to be a BJs

KK is closed but last time I went by michael's (maybe Tues) it was still open. I hope they do something better than a walmart. My vote would be barnes and noble! I wouldn't mind a specialty grocery store where sears hardware was. I would be very disappointed if they put in a ****'s since there's already a sports authority and modell's right up the road. Although DH would be thrilled.

A friend of mine took their daughter to a party at Michaels recently and the people there said that Michaels is staying put (for now) and ****'s Sporting Goods is going where King Kullen used to be.
As for Sears, I heard a couple different stores going in there - either an Aldi, Whole Foods or Trader Joe's.

Well, at least it's something different, with potential to be good...some people don't like Aldi, but some swear by their pantry items and specialty items. I'll definitely give it a shot!
Though, would it kill them to put a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods somewhere in the area?!? Lol.
