Levittown open!!!
We are open today!! I am not going to like my commute home later!! This is just crazy!!!!
Sorry I just needed to vent!!!

My oldest went into school, I dropped her off.
Sorry. I can't beliee they are open in this.,,I hope they close early.

nyc schools too - so many teachers do the commute from LI its terrible
my job takes the lead from NYC schools...so we are open too and im stuck traveling from queens to the bronx

I know its just nuts!! I always say close the school for everyones saftey!! I rather make up a day or two if we have too. Levittown is open full day, so no early dismissal as of now. Only evening activites got cancelled. Lap is still open but they want parents to make every effort to try to pick them up as early as possible. The roads are horrible!!! Everyone please be safe on your commute home!!

As my boss says, you are an adult and can make decisions. If you don't feel its safe or worth it, don't go in, keep your kid home, etc.. I know everybody doesn't have that luxury... Stay warm..

DH told me there were only 4 or 5 school districts open today....Levittown being one of them. 2 of those that were open had early closing. What is wrong with the superintendent this snow storm and the last one?

He doesn't care since his contract wasn't renewed and he will not be returning next year.

He doesn't care since his contract wasn't renewed and he will not be returning next year.
That is not the reason. Bethpage was open as well. Their sup isn't going anywhere. I think they made a good call being that it looks like we're looking at a few more storms this week. It wasn't icy and the buses generally did fine. I had to travel between 2 different school. It sucked but I'm Ok.

Thats what I did when I called my dd in! She asked me the reason and I said "the snow" I'm not going to lie. Let them mark it however they have to.
