looking for ped in northport or huntington
Hello! I mostly lurk but was hoping someone may have a recommendation for me. I'm looking for a new pediatrician in the Huntington/East Northport/Northport area. My current ped is very "old school" and I'm looking for someone a little "crunchier." I'd like someone who is very well informed on breastfeeding, would support co-sleeping, knows about baby-led weaning, etc. Does anyone have a recommendation?

We also love Dr Siev though I am not sure about how he is with the things you mention. You could always do an interview with him. I love the Huntington Medical Group overall!

We see Dr Siev, and love him. I didn't find him particularly pro BF but he didn't push FF either. He did have me supplement with formula when DS wasn't gaining enough. Maybe try one of the female doctors - I think Kupersmith may have some BF medicine background. We are very happy w HMG- open every day, no wait, responsive w phone calls, walk in hours every day.

We've used Dr. Tomei for sick visits. She's not our regular doctor buts she's very nice. You can always do an interview with her. We use another dr in the group and we interviewed him. It was a free appointment.

Dr. Daphne Gleit-Caduri in commack is very holistic, and I would imagine is pro everything you listed.

Love Dr Siev and HMG, however they are def not crunchy! We also cosleep/bed share and Dr Siev was not a fan. I've also had conversations with the other MDs and they aren't supportive either. So while the office and MDs are great, probably not what you're looking for.
