How long should you TTC before you see an RE?

The standard is --- 1 year if you are under 40 ..... but I would say if you are 35 or over, or suspect there is a problem, or have irregular periods or painful intercourse - 6 months if that.
I started seeing an RE after we had sperm analysis, pelvic ultrasound, and then bloodowrk done. All these were done by my OB at my insistance.

I feel there shouldn't be a minimum age factor. If you have been trying for at least a year and you are still not Pregnant, I would go to a RE. A RE has so much more training than an OBGYN. Good Luck!
