Office/Crafting room
We have a smallish room downstairs that's about 10x11. I want to make it into an office/crafting room. We have a Cherry wood bookcase and file cabinet. I plan to find a Lshaped Cherry Wood desk for one corner of the room. I was thinking of doing white furniture for a work surface and storage on the other end for the crafting stuff. I feel like I can't do more cherry because too much dark furniture in the room will make it look really small. I'm not sure how the mixing of furniture will look in the room. Thoughts? Pics of something similar? Any other ideas?

Re: Office/Crafting room
I have a very small, oddly shaped craft room/office with white shelves and an espresso desk. Im linking the thread from 7 years ago when DH built it. It looks a bit different now. I have a file cabinet that makes the desk. I have much more stuff. The cutrains are gone and I have white wood blinds. All of the shelves are full and the computer and printer have changed. you can get the idea [L]http://www.lifamilies.com/chat/topic.aspx?ID=199065&Highlight=Craft+room[/L]

Office/Crafting room
My craft room is also in the basement. I have an espresso bar height desk and expedit shelves from IKEA also in espresso and tons of other shelves all in the same color family. Originally I was going to do white but no one had anything I liked. It doesn't make the room look too dark. Get pieces that work for you. It will all come together and the room will look fine.
