Passed my licensing exam. Search for jobs now?
So I passed my licensing exam and want to start looking for a job ASAP. I called nys office of professions and they said they have to verify all if my info and once that's done, my info will be verified online for others to see. then I'll get my physical license. Should I start applying for jobs now and state in the cover letter that I recently passed? It's tough because my coworker who also recently passed is on the job hunt too (same degrees, same experience, looking for jobs in the same area) so we're direct competition for one another.
Office of professions said it will take 4 weeks to verify me.

Absolutely.
I just passed a licensing exam a few months ago, and it came in the mail pretty much right away.
I don't think it's relevant to say while applying, when you got your license.....the fact that you have the credentials is what employers look for.

Absolutely.

I don't think it's relevant to say while applying, when you got your license.....the fact that you have the credentials is what employers look for.
What about when they go to verify my license and my name isn't up on the office of professions website yet?

If its like my licensing exam, just bring the tentative results with you to Interviews. It doesn't take long to get your license or have it posted to Office of Professionals. Yes, out your new credentials on your résumé. Don't indicate that you recently passed.

Like PP mentioned, bring your stuff with you when requested.
Honestly, I think you are worrying over nothing.
The job search/hire process tends to take a lot longer than a couple weeks.
I know from recent experience for the largest health system in the area, it took me over a month from interview to hire/start date.
