Do you ever feel like....
...you are the only one going through infertility? I know I sure do, and that is why I look to the support on this site. Not one of my friends or family members went through this (and if they did, they didn't tell me, or not to this extent). I don't know one person that went thru IVF that is close to me. It's a very lonely feeling and it's very hard for me to talk to certain people b/c I feel like they don't understand. Just venting

Do you ever feel like....
I know how you feel ... all of my girlfriends around me got pregnant either accidentally or almost immediately after trying. None of them ever struggled. I only know of 2 aunts of mine that struggled and did IVF - but that happened when I was a kid. I find that it's totally hard to have friends understand since they never have been down this road before. Instead I felt that their comments were insensitive - hence why I really don't talk to them about it anymore. You guys are definitely the only ones that understand me/us, which is why I am so grateful for this site :)

I know how you feel and think most, if not everyone, on this board does, too! All but one of my friends got pregnant very quickly -- I have one good friend who I swear gets pregnant just from her DH looking at her! Every time she calls to chat, I am just waiting for her to drop the "I'm pregnant again" bomb. I know that for me, since I've been paying attention to my cycle, trying, and seeing a RE, I feel like there are babies EVERYWHERE around me. I am so happy for my friends, but a part of me can't help but feel jealous. Last week alone, I saw 8 pregnancy announcements on Facebook and I have 3 baby showers in the upcoming 2 months. This board (and you ladies) have been such a lifesaver and blessing. I don't really talk to many of my friends about this stuff, mostly because DH doesn't want me airing our personal information and I respect his wishes and understand where he's coming from. I'd go crazy (okay, I already am -- I'd go MORE crazy) without you ladies!

Yes. That's why I reached out to the girls here. Three years ago, I went to a gtg and we continued them every month for well over a year. I've met wonderful friends whom I can share my infertility highs and lows with.

I bet more people that you know are dealing with infertility than you know. I'm not very open about it, but I do know of 3 of my friends that went through IVF, and a bunch of acquaintances as well. It's like like anyone broadcasts it. Even my 2 best friends don't know a lot of what we went through, and that's just the way we chose to handle it.

Do you ever feel like....
YES. All of my friends and family members have gotten pregnant easily. Many of them commented how they couldn't believe they got pregnant on their first month trying. I have one friend who told me it took her a very long time- 8 MONTHS....right! I may know of one person in real life who struggled but she ended up adopting a son.
So YES I feel alone in all of this and it sucks. I'm always just waiting for the next pregnancy announcement. If you saw my other post, I was sent a sono picture the other day. I am so glad to have this board and all of these ladies who are getting me through this.
Hoping our time will come!
