Embriology Glue
For those of you who have done IVF, have you used it? Any success stories?

Re: Embriology Glue
Im glad you asked this; b/c this is one question I have written down to ask my DR.
Its something used when doing a transfer. Some studies show in increases success for implantation; some studies don't prove much.
Im sure my DR will say he's never heard of it and/or doesnt use it.
ETA: I have also read much success on being prescribed 10mg (one time only) of Piroxicam. Apparently taken day of transfer day also increases success of implantation.
I'd be willing to eat $hit if someone told me it increases the success of pregnancy.

Re: Embriology Glue
Embryo Glue (I can't stop giggling at the name) is a culture medium that is *supposed* to increase the rate of implantation. It seems that very few labs have it.

Re: Embriology Glue
with my fresh transfer, I had asked one of the doctors at RSofNY about it prior to transfer (Halfen) who said flat out "no" they don't use it.
Today I brought it up again to the NP Susan who said they can get it but they would have to order it for my FET next week. According to her, it is not scientifically proven to raise your chances of implantation so they do not normal use it. She also confirmed that it DOES NOT HARM the embryo or your chances of implantation either...
so I guess we will see... I have a call into RSofNY to find out if there are any additional costs... I'll keep you ladies posted!

It does. Thats what I thought when I first saw this. And funny enough, I joked when I had my IVF that I wish they could like Sew it or Glue it onto my uterus to make it stick
