Dress for mom of sweet 16 girl
My daughters sweet 16 is in December....I never threw a party before so I am nervous as it is but I need THE perfect dress...I am relatively thin but not in the places I wish I was(I bloat a lot in the stomach and I have big hips) but I am tough on myself. I do know I need to lose about 7 pounds to make me happy with myself and get back where I was before I was with my BF.
My ex inlaws and my ex's family will be there after not seeing them for about 9 years....I really want to look classy..slightly sexy without looking like I am 42 trying to be 20....I do have a young look so I do dress more of a younger style but I definitely want a wow factor...Any recommendations? I want a long black dress.Again my stomach and my hips are my worst areas(my BF would tend to argue with me about that because he thinks the opposite lol but that's what BF are supposed to say lol)

Do you have a budget? And since you said long & black, I am assuming it is fairly formal?
I wouldn't worry too much about your hips/stomach. Just wear spanx & make sure the dress fits you.
I like this one, but it is a jersey fabric, so it might not be fancy enough.
This is pretty & slightly a-line.

Oops I should have paid attention to what was in stock. Lol
Bloomingdales and Nordstrom have it in some more sizes.

I am going to take a trip to the mall next week and I love so many of the ones you guys showed me and you gave me an idea of what is age appropriate for myself lol
SO stressful but cant wait for the day!!!

Also only available in a 14--sorry, didn't realize that.
That's my size though, so I feel like I should buy it even though I have no place to go & I rarely wear black. 
ETA-that one runs small though, so it is probably more like a 10.
