Re: is anyone seeing Dr. Palter? Any feedback?
Conceived our DS on our 1st cycle trying. Medicated back to back IUI's with trigger. Monitored closely, nothing left to chance (well, to the extent you can control these things). Felt he was thorough and knew what he was doing. No complaints.
Started to see him again when it we were ready to TTC #2 but wound up getting pregnant on our own. Still, bc of PCOS I was monitored by them until I was released at 7 weeks.

Re: is anyone seeing Dr. Palter? Any feedback?
My sister had IVF with Dr Palter and gave birth to my niece and nephew in December. She always had good things to say about him.

I saw Dr. Palter too. I am now 11 weeks pg. I did 2 cycles of b2b IUIs. 1st cycle with clomid=BFN. 2nd cycle with injectables=BFP!!! I thought Dr. Palter was great. He's thorough, compassionate and friendly and the staff including nurses and receptionists are great. I like that it's a smaller office with only one doctor. The care is very individualized and catered to your specific condition rather than being a mill, which is a complaint I have heard from many other girls at some other RE's offices.

Re: is anyone seeing Dr. Palter? Any feedback?
There are pros and cons to seeing a single practitioner. I found his staff to be wonderful and compassionate and he was very knowledgable but never thought outside the box. It was obvious that he sees many less patients than other offices b/c although very bright, he did not seem to have as much experience with ivf as the next practice I went to. I tend to be an anxious person (especially going through IF) and his personality made me even more anxious. I do think he is a good RE but was not the right match for us. Good luck!

Hi Sunshine13
I'm also considering using dr. Palter. Have you ended up using him? If so, how has your experience been with him?

I see Dr Palter. He is a very good dr but like another person I don't feel like he thinks outside the box. I did get pregnant my first IUI with him which unfortunately ended in m/c. He then pushed for a test that I didn't think was necessary because I already had it done by the hospital. I had trouble with communication with the staff ( who are very nice) but I think that was due to their move to a new office.

I had a couple of consults with him, but wound up going with another practice. At the second consult, which was to get blood test results, I was kept waiting for an hour in an empty waiting room. When I finally saw him, it was obvious that he hadn't made any effort to look at my chart. He then told me that I should be taking supps, etc. that he'd never mentioned during my first consult based upon information that I gave him during my first consult. It annoyed me that I was kept waiting so long, had to pay an office visit to get blood test results that could have been given to me over the phone, and that he clearly had not paid attention to what I'd told him during the first consult. I also got the feeling that he was not as interested in keeping me as a patient because of the likelihood that his success rate might be adversely affected.
