DD Frozen BDay (updated album with family cake)
I just wanted to share an update....
So my DD had her 6th BDay friends party. 11 6year olds, some who never skated before. If you remember I was concerned about asking parents to pay & only having 1hr in a "reserved" table area.....
HUGE success!!!!!
Only had 10 minutes before to set up table & cake, but did it!
The kids loved it. Some parents skated, some didn't. but my DH who played college ice hockey assisted & made it a point of skating at least 1 lap with each kids, also was great at rounding up when it was time for pizza & cake.
After the hr was up, we grabbed a bench & put everything on it, while my ILs watched the stuff. None of the kids sat for the remaining 1 1/2 anyways 
Opened presents at the end & then it was over.
So many complements & many already want to return & loved it more than roller skating.
Just wanted to share incase people were concerned 6 being young.
Also wants to share the cake I made, favors, table decor, etc.
My DD designed the cake for me to make. The cake was vanilla (colored purple) with chocolate chocolate chip filling, vanilla buttercream outside frosting.
The "ice" candy she wanted raspberry.

My DD had her Frozen Ice Skating BDay....
Awesome, glad it went off well. Always good to go with your gut. Did the parents who skated pay or your paid?
Also your DH skating a lap with each kid is so sweet.

I wrote it on the invite that if parents wanted to pay it was $9. None seemed to mind at all. I even asked one & she's wouldn't have expected for me to pay.
My DH was so great & pep talked the kids a little scared. When I emailed parents photos I took, they all replied with raves.

Oh cool! I didnt even notice the link to pics. Love the table set up, so cute. Such a fun idea and different. Great job!

Update:
My youngest DDs name is Summer, & since the movie came out, she has loved olaf. She wanted an "in Summer" themed birthday (which isn't until Early Sept), but now she's into My Little Pony. So since I needed a family came, already did a "Frozen" cake, & I'm OVER winter....I couldn't let the cute theme go to waste.
I just love how it came out! (The crocus are purple, they just photographed blue)
