Cost of driveway & walkway
We have a split level house with a two car driveway. I'm considering having the driveway and steps replaced. Driveway with asphalt and steps with a durable stone/paver.
Any recommendations? Anyone know what the approx price range would be? I know we will have to get estimates but just curious if it's even in our budget.
TIA!

Re: Cost of driveway & walkway
We just had our stop, walkway and driveway (1 car) done. We have a split as well. We also had them do retaining walls on either side of the stoop. We used Dr. Pavers and they did a great job. We paid over 12,000 mostly because we used cultured stone and bluestone steps. Basic pavers would be less and if you dont do retaining walls it would also decrease the price. We had some estimates come in at 10,000.

We need to do this too. Can't believe it's so expensive.

We redid our steps (they were falling apart) and our walkway, in paver stones- paid $5500.

Can I ask who you used? Looking into getting quotes for our walkway and stoop right now! Thanks!

Re: Cost of driveway & walkway
We paid $7,150 for:
new paver walkway to house with 2 steps belgian block border new sidewalk new double apron blacktop driveway new dry well new retaining wall by side gate with flower box and 2 steps
we have used them for 2 more paths and we are using them to do the pavers around our pool. They are very reasonable, get the job done fast and do good work. D'Alessandro & Son

Re: Cost of driveway & walkway
For the driveway it's easy. Add up your total square footage.
Budget $3-4 per square foot for blacktop $6-8 for concerete $11-15 for pavers/bricks
Steps are another story and really vary depending on what you are doing, like if you have to replace the foundation and have to get a permit.
