Going to a Cconcert 2 weeks before due date?
Keep in mind that there is a chance you could have your baby by then- I was really uncomfortable the last few weeks of my pregnancy and could not imagine being at a concert but everyone is different- I have a friend who was in the middle of her morning run when she went into labor at 38 weeks.

Re: Going to a Cconcert 2 weeks before due date?
I personally would have felt fine for something like that and would have been excited to go! But I never had a bit of swelling, and was very active up until the day I gave birth.
Do you have a lot of swelling or back/hip pain? If you're feeling pretty good now it's probably worth the risk to buy the tix. Especially if you can get a lot of rest afterward. But like a PP said, you may already have a baby by then or be in labor.

Yeah, it is so hard to know what to expect. Some days I feel great, others tired and achy. I figure if I hafta lose the 100 bucks its not a huge deal so I may jst get the tixs and see how I feel LOL

I had my first baby by then so I wouldn't plan it.

Re: Going to a concert 2 weeks before due date?
I would get the tickets if you really want to go and just understand that you might have to miss it. We decided to take our chances and get broadway show tickets 2 weeks before my due date (on my birthday) and I was a little nervous that my water would break in the theater but it all worked out and we were able to go. But it was a show we had seen many times before (and loved) so I accepted that I might have to miss it.

Re: Going to a concert 2 weeks before due date?
I am 36+ weeks pregnant and as of right now would be fine going to a concert. I am still wearing heels daily and going to the gym 6 days a week (running 20-25 miles a week) - so you never know. My sister went to a Broadway play at 37.5 weeks pregnant.

its hard to judge how you will feel. if you are ok spending the money on the ticket and possibly not going, i say go for it with dd was out and about til the day before she arrived...errands, walking, bridal showers, etc

I had my first at 38 weeks and I was beyond ready to go.....I probably wouldn't risk it. 36 weeks would be a different story.

Do they have seats or is it standing only? If there were seats I would go.

I say go!! I plan on going to a concert at 35 weeks- which isn't as far along but it's also much harder music and there's no seats.

Re: Going to a concert 2 weeks before due date?
It depends on how you will feel. At 38 weeks I had a lot of pressure when I walked long distance. I was also super uncomfortable sitting up right for long periods of time. So I would of been miserable at a concert. Everyone is different though.

I would be miserable standing that long at 35 weeks.

I think it depends on the concert. I went to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra a week before DD was born and was perfectly fine.

Re: Going to a concert 2 weeks before due date?
Depends on who you're seeing
Toby Keith yes Zac brown yes Miranda lambert maybe not
Lol jk. Which concert is this? I'm so jealous. There are so many country concerts coming up that are either too close to my due date, too close to post c section recovery dates or too far from home/hospital

Going to a concert 2 weeks before due date?
I would go but remember the bathroom lines are going to be long. I went to the Boys 2 Men, 98 Degrees, and NKOTB concert at 36 weeks pregnant. There were A LOT of pregnant women there. I sat most of the concert but did some dancing too. I was hoping it would get some things going LOL!
It's a night out before the baby comes. Also don't go by "I might give birth by then" because you could go 3 weeks later too and then you missed the concert for no reason.

Re: Going to a concert 2 weeks before due date?
I decided to get the tixs! There is seating and it only cost me 125 bucks for 2 tixs so I figure oh well if I lose out on the money its worth sucking it up. I would be so bummed if I missed it for no real reason, especially it is only 1 nite in NYC.
For those asking what concert--its the Nashville TV Show concert tour

Absolutely, I had tickets to Aerosmith 5 days before my due date, but as luck would have it, I went into labor that day!

I honestly thought I would be miserable, but I bought tickets and figured if I couldn't go a friend would definitely take them.. but I'm 34 weeks on Saturday and still standing all day at work and feeling fine.. and still jogging- not every morning anymore, but 2-3 mornings a week. So I'm more worried about the low frequencies being played so loud than I am about the standing.
