Gift for speech therapist
My son is just about to be done with speech therapy. He started with his therapist at 22 months old. She has stayed with us through two moves and travels 20 miles each visit for him. (2 times a week now). I want to get her something to thank her for all the work she has done for him. For Christmas I got her a gift card, a giant tote bag from Disney, and DS made her some ornaments... What do you get someone who has made one the biggest impacts in your childs life.. My son doesn't bond with just anybody... She is almost like part of the family...

Gift for speech therapist
When DD ages out of EI we gave each of her ABA therapist a nice piece of jewelry. The were part of the family for many years and it was sad to see them go.

Gift for speech therapist
Maybe a personalized piece of jewelry from your son? One of the SLPs I used to work with had a student for 6 years until he moved out of state. When they first started working together he was almost completely non-verbal and the progress she made working with him day in and day out was unbelievable.
He gave her a necklace on his last day at the school that was engraved and said 'Thank you for giving me a voice' and on the back it said 'Love, Johnny.'
She cried when she opened it - it was such a thoughtful gift.

Also don't forget about a letter for her file and maybe a donation to the agency she works for if they accept something like that.
I work with adults but we recently had a client who like the child mentioned above, made huge strides. She wrote the agency a wonderful letter and was even getting married, so instead of favors, said she was making a donation to our agency instead. It was really touching to hear about the difference made in this person's life.

You should try Tri-County. I've heard that they sell nice jewelry on the upper level for great prices and I'm sure they do engraving there also.
