Switching Doctor
We are currently living in Floral Park (Queens side). My Dr only delivers out of Huntington. I chose her bc my husband and I thought we would have closed on the house we are purchasing by the due date but that's gotten pushed to October. I think huntington is WAY too long of a ride and want to switch Drs to one practicing out of LIJ NHP or Winthrop. I am about 4 months and wondering when Is it too late to switch to a new Dr? Do they have a cut off as to when they accept new patients?
TIA :)

Re: Switching Doctor
I absolutely LOVE my doctor, and also live in Floral Park. He's affiliated w/ North Shore University Hospital. Their office is about a 15-18 minute drive from home at the most and the hospital is under 15 minutes I think.
It's Dr. Trongone in Manhasset - let me know if you want his info. It's a practice of just him and another doctor, the nurses are amazing and I can't say enough good things about them.

It depends upon the doctor, but 4 months is still early. I'm 4 months and in the process of switching doctors because of a change in hospital policy with which I have a huge issue (sad because I love my Ob).
*I switched doctors when I was 6 months pregnant with my DD.

Switching Doctor
My doc is Gary Levine at LI Women's Healthcare Group. They have an office in NHP on Hillside Avenue. I used to go to that office when I lived in Queens. (I used to see Dr. Cara Lieberman there, but I don't think she's with the practice anymore.) Now I go to the Mineola office since I'm in Nassau. I delivered at Winthrop.
