Sooooo relieved!!!!!

Some of you may remember my post from 2 weeks ago, but at my 34 week appt, I found out Chat Icon had turned breech. My doctor said if he/she didn't turn by the next appt, we would discuss doing an external version. So, over the past 2 weeks I have done everything short of standing on my head to get this baby to turn. Went for my 36 week appt yesterday and found out it worked! Baby is now head down, in position, ready to go!! I started crying happy tears when he told me!! So so thankful not to have another thing to worry about. As he put it, "now, we just proceed as usual and play the waiting game." Chat Icon Chat Icon

Sooooo relieved!!!!!

Awesome news!!! Just curious what kinds of things you did to get the baby to turn? I'm only 28 weeks so couldn't hurt to know for the future in case it comes up for me!

I've been doing prenatal yoga the whole pregnancy, so I talked to my teacher about it and she gave me a ton of stuff to do at home, plus I did a bunch of stuff in class with her.

-Lay on an incline with your feet up. An easy way to do this at home is to lay an ironing board against a couch. Then lay on your back with only your head and shoulders on the floor and bend your knees. You can lay like this for 10-15 mins (but come out if you feel really uncomfortable or lightheaded) a few times a day.
-Face a folding chair (or another low chair with a flat seat) and stand about 2-3 feet away from it. Stand with your feet wide and bend over with a straight back, resting your arms (folded) on the seat of the chair and your forehead on your arms. Your back should be at a decline from your hips to your head. Hang there as long as it's comfortable.
-Downward facing dog.
-Lay on your back with pillows/cushions under your butt to elevate your hips.
-Rock/crawl on hands and knees.
-Place something cold (like a bag of frozen veggies) on top of your belly. The baby looks for warmth/comfort and will want to move away from the cold sensation.
-Shine a bright light at the bottom of your belly.
-Play music (or a recording of your voice, or a speaker attached to a mic you can talk into) to the bottom of your belly.
-Have your husband/SO talk to the bottom of your belly.

I did all of that stuff. I have no idea what did the trick, but it was all relatively simple to do, so I tried it all!
