Does anyone use coconut oil as a moisturizer for your face?
So I've been hooked on coconut oil lately for oil pulling and as a eye makeup remover and I had some leftover last night as I was taking off my eye makeup and used it on my face.
It's amaazzing. I woke up and my skin was glowing. It seemed to even out my skintone and plump up my lips. I'm going to try again tonight (hopefully I won't break out!) but I wanted to pass it along to anyone that has been on the coconut oil pulling craze lately. This stuff is awesome!

I've been reading about this and other natural oils to use since my skin is messed up from microderm a few weeks ago. Do you use the coconut oil that is hard in the jar? That is the kind I have. Or is there another kind to buy?

That's it. It hardens in cooler weather and liquefies when it's warm.
My concern is it would be too greasy for my combo skin

I do!
I only use it a few times a week and I use a very small amount but I feel like it's better than other facial moisturizers I have tried.

I did and it broke me out. I have combo/oily T-zone but it didn't make me oilier.
Organic, too.
And NOTHING breaks me out.

Yes but in the dead of winter the best for my skin is eucerin. I do alternate with coconut oil too.

I would avoid it if you have any kind of oily skin at all,.
It is really extremely greasy.

While it is greasy when you put it on, I feel like it is not moisturizing enough for my face. Halfway through the day, I feel like I need more.
I do use it on my body though.

It is greasy, after all, it's pure oil. But using it sparingly I noticed that for my skin it helped. Oily skin is probably not the best for this product. It took me a little while to get used to the idea of putting oil on my face, sounded crazy but since it worked for me I thought is pass it along :)

I got a massage in Feb and she only used coconut oil...she encouraged me to use it at home and ever since, I use every day as a moisturizer (arms, legs, etc). I would be afraid to use it on my face because it's a little greasy...but it's amazing on the rest of my skin. It smells great and makes your skin so soft...the greasiness disappears right away.

Yes I do. But I use it as an eye make up remover; have been for years. So much better for you than baby oil.
Every now and then if my face feels dry before bed; I will mix it in with a little moisiturizer.
It doesn't leave my face greasy at all the next morning whatsoever; just smooth.
But I guess that all depends on skin type.

I get mine there.
I use it on my legs and arms in the winter.
Also on my feet for calluses etc.

Doterra makes fractionated coconut oil that is perfect for the face. Very light weight and is absorbed immediately!

Not on my face but I just started doing oil pulling with it. It's not as gross as I thought it would be. I also put it in my hair every weeks for 2 hrs before washing
