High BMI?
Anyone else higher than it should be? Mine is borderline high and b/c of that I always need to get medical clearance from my regular doctor before any fertility treatment (as per my RE). Weight has always been a struggle with me, but I've been walking a lot more at night and trying to eat a lot better over the past few weeks. I know that I'm not at the ideal weight to be doing IVF, but my RE never mentioned that I shouldn't.
Lately I'm wondering if that's part of the reason the last one didn't work. I know I shouldn't rack my brain with "whys" ... taking a chance at this point... it just has me a little down. I know that I can't lose a ton of weight before I start my cycle next week (obviously) but at least I can eat better and exercise while going through it.

High BMI?
My BMI is high (clothing size 16/18). My re said "if I told you to take six months, would you have a dramatic weight decrease?" I said honestly - most likely not. He said fine, and we moved on. Never discussed Again.
With that being said, after that, I put on about ten lbs over 4 cycles. 2 chemicals, and my sticky bfp. Once I had the right meds, my body cooperated.
All this to say - bmi - at least in my case - did not interfere with my treatments.

I agree with Michelle. My RE never brought up a high BMI as a reason I couldn't/wasn't getting pregnant.
I also gained some weight through the cycles mostly because of all the meds, and some because of stress eating

High BMI?
I wear a size 12/14 and am about 5'6... So my BMI was bordering on the overweight/obese standards.
My RE never mentioned my weight. I brought it up as he said if I could lose a few before my next cycle, it wouldn't hurt, but not to stress myself out .

High BMI?
I was a 10/12 clothing size before treatments, 12/14 during treatments. I was 5'3" 155 lbs. My RE was not concerned. I have gained 25 with this pregnancy (twins) at 26 weeks.

Re: High BMI?
Well this is great to hear
I think I'm just stressing myself out a week before I start..
I was just curious b/c my RE never discouraged me.
Thanks ladies.
