Need help finding a place for a baptism
I'm in desperate need for help in finding a place for my daughters christening. It's in July. It's the only date the church could do and the months around the baptism are booked with other parties. The church is in Whitestone so I'm trying to keep it close but I've called Verdis, trattoria 35, il bacco, and some halls which are all booked. Any suggestions? I'm willing to have the party in Nassau. I have 60-80 guests, which is just immediate family.

Have you tried a Knights of Columbus? I just quoted for a American Legion hall but I thought it was a bit pricey. Is your home big enough for you to have it there? Can you cater it at your own home?

I had ours at seasons 52. Great food and the room is gorgeous. Can fit your number of guests!

I feel your pain. I'm in whitestone too and have had difficulties with locations too for parties. My twins christening was at trattoria 35 and my other son's was at verdi's. I had started a venue list when I was pulling my hair out:
Inn at New Hyde Park
Douglaston Manor
Il Bacco
H on the Harbor
Harbor Links
Stewart Manor
LaMotta's
Antoinette's of East Hills
Milleridge Inn
There's also Donovan's. They have a really nice party room, not sure how many guests it could accommodate.

My babies were christened in Bayside and our party was at Inn at New Hyde Park, in the basement room. Beautiful, and people said the steak was the best catering hall steak they ever had :) had my baby shower at douglaston manor and they have a bunch of rooms! Good luck. Also did u check out giardino in douglaston?

jimmy's trattoria bayside ny. I know they rent out the restaurant during the day, not sure about at night.

Have you tried the places on Bell Blvd? Donovans, Papazio, Jimmys, Monohans? Also, there is a private club in Douglaston (I think called the Douglaston Club) but they will find a sponsor for you for a party that size. Good luck!

I am guessng it is bc of the time of year, lots of sacraments in the Spring. Try Jimmys Trattoria on Bell they are great we have had family parties there.
