Flowers for First Communion
Our church does not allow the girls to carry flowers, have gloves or pocketbooks, or even sweaters with them. So, should I even bother getting DD a bouquet? It seems like a waste of money, but what do other girls do?

Re: Flowers for First Communion
We weren't allowed purses, flowers or gloves either. Basically people just used them for photos. DD's bouquet is now sitting in a small jar of water on the kitchen table.

Flowers for First Communion
When I did my first communion I don't think we were allowed to have them in the church, but my parents got a small bouquet for pictures. I also wore a ring of roses in my hair.

Re: Flowers for First Communion
I had a faux bouquet of flowers made. My DD used it for picture day, communion day and now it's on a stand in her room. Very victorian looking and matches perfectly. I would get it for pictures for sure...
