Best Baby Carrier/ Wrap?
Hi ladies,
I already have the Moby Wrap and the Maya Sling from DS1. I wanted to get something a little easier than the Moby Wrap for when DS2 is born that holds him snug and is not too structured. I love the Moby once its on but may not have time to wrap it each time with DS1 around lol. LOVE the Maya Sling and used it for 2 years with DS1, but don't want to put a newborn in there yet KWIM?
I was looking at the Baby K'Tan. Thoughts? Suggestions?
TIA!

I don't know anything about the k'tan, but a ring sling is perfect for a newborn. Why don't you want to use it?

Actually, I think a ring sling is more supportive than a moby because the moby is so stretchy and can start to sag once baby gets to be around 10lbs or so. I personally hate the moby because I think it has too much stretch. A ring sling you can use for a lot longer - I put my 3 year old in mine sometimes! I've never used a maya sling, you may want to invest in something made of a woven wrap for more support, mine is a little frog, which is an inexpensive woven. You could try a mei tai too. I've heard good things about the infantino one which is very affordable.

I have a bunch of different carriers and wraps, and to me, it seems like the k'tan would be your best bet. I used it up until ds was about 15 lbs. It is very simple and easy to put on.

Sounds like the ktan might be a good option for you. I also don't like ring slings for newborns. I just could never get a good seat. I love them for older babies and toddlers for quick ups. My fave for newborn wearing is a woven wrap, but if you don't like wrapping a moby, you won't like wrapping a woven.

K'Tan!!!!! I couldn't live without it right now! DS #2 is 6wks old and I have a 2 and 4 year old. The moby is just to big but the k'tan I can keep on easy with out wearing him. I like my ring sling for warmer days though.

Check out Tula carriers. They're (in my opinion) the best!
