First PIO Shot
DH did it for me tonight with my RN mom supervising. It wasn't so bad! I expected worse. Thanks to all who helped in my decision to do PIO.

First PIO Shot
The first one wasn't bad at all. In fact I didn't believe dh when he said he did it. Not to burst your bubble but they end up hurting. You get lumps and you run out of spots to inject. Hope that's not the case for you.

Same here I didn't even know my DH did it.. Menopur shots were worse for me go figure!

Only one pio shot hurt and I am pretty sure DH literally hit a nerve.
I was on pio until I was 8 weeks pregnant.

Most drs will switch you to Endometrin (vag suppository) after transfer, but some insurances no longer cover Endometrin. If that's the case, you could be on the shots for a few months.

I stayed with PIO until 10 weeks. I would much rather that then the suppositories. Keep heating and rubbing afterwards. I did not really get to bad.

Soooo second shot felt even less painful than the first...but shortly after DH have me the shot he says "it went in too easy. I'm not sure I actually had the medicine in the needle." What!?! So I guess from now on I will draw it up myself....

It hurt more as it went on for me. I was on it for a full 12 weeks.
