Half Marathons
Any suggestions on a relatively flat course half marathon?
I ran the Brooklyn Half this weekend and was so excited to just finish after struggling with a calf injury, then an achilles injury and finally I found out the day before that I need to have my gallbladder removed that I didn't pay too much attention to anything else! That said, I ran SO SLOWLY (it took my 2:28 to finish) so I was a little disappointed in that. I barely trained at all in the weeks leading up, so I am already thinking about another where I am actually prepared. Thanks!

Check out the Divas Half. It's in Eisenhower Park in October.
Congrats on the half this weekend! That's a great time!

Re: Half Marathons
Your time was great! Brooklyn was a great run, I was there also. MORE magazine has a half in April- that was lovely- Central Park- women only. Bayshore/ Entenmanns half is in October- nice run. Diva was my first and best time , the course is flat but boring.

Re: Half Marathons
Great job Bonnie! That's insane about your gallbladder...I hope you have a fast recovery.
I'm not sure about other half marathons around the area but the Wineglass Half marathon(held in October) in the Finger Lakes is supposed to be a very flat and fun course! I'm doing an olympic and half ironman triathlon in the Finger Lakes area this summer--I love it up there. Great place to run a half!

Re: Half Marathons
Diva is flat (as is the LI Half in May), but Diva is pricey...for nothing exciting.
For the same weekend I would rather run entenmanns link
If you don't mind the rolling hills in Central park, Grete's Gallop is also that weekend.
