Decorating DD's bedroom- carpet or bedding first
going to be redoing - doing rather!- 7 yo's DDS bedroom. replacing carpet, painiting, furniture, bedding, everything. so - would you pick bedding or carpet first? have ahalf day off tomorrow, tryng to decide whether to hit up carpet store or bedding

I'd probably pick a neutral carpet anyway so that the decor in the room can be changed at any time. So to me, it wouldn't matter. I'd probably get a beige or grey carpet and then let DD choose whatever bedding she liked.

This is what we did for DS room. I would never pick carpet to specifically go with bedding or paint color since those are easy and less expensive to change.

Yup, I agree with the others. Neutral carpet. You can always get an area rug to go on top of it if you want it to match the bedding better (and it will protect the carpeting below)

I did both DC's bedrooms with a medium grey carpet. That way, whatever color scheme we go with later on, the carpet will still coordinate.
