Where Can I Get Nice, Inexpensive Stainless Silverware
Hi, I'm looking to replace my silverware, it's beginning to get rust spots on pieces & the knives have been breaking in half (blades are cracking off the handles). It was from Fortunoff in the early 2000s... Who makes nice, reasonably priced silverware, these days? Thanks!

I have a set from Oneida that I got in 2000 and it has held up perfectly. I had to replace the set because DH lost all the spoons, but I still have the rest. I got it at Target. I just bought another set from Bed, Bath, and Beyond and love it

I had a client that is in this industry.... the brand names are relatively fungible. a lot of the stuff is made in china for cheap and a lot of the names are really just licensed names. Quality generally is concerning what the make up of the stainless, chromium and nickel.
18/10 stainless is generally the best every-day stuff, 18/8 is pretty good as well 18/0 can rust more over time.

Try Home Goods. Stuff made in China tends to be cheap and will rust easier. As PP stated, buy 18/10 stainless. My everyday is WMF, a German brand.
